Paleo: You are what you eat.

Hi friends,
It has been a very long time since I've written in here. I keep forgetting i even have one.
This is April 3rd.
On April 1st, I started something called the Paleo Diet. I heard about it from Bunga or Andrew Bacon, a friend and boss from Pine Cove.
The Paleo diet is getting back to what our ancient ancestors used to eat! Mainly for me, it is WAY more fruit and vegetables than I am used to. I think sometimes i may write in here what i've eaten just for fun to share on the experience.
I've never done anything like this before. It's supposed to be the whole month of April but I've decided to take in one week at a time. I feel like it's just a good time to cleanse my body of what is really not good for it (processed food, lots of salt, coke/dr. pepper). I'm not planning on never having any of those things again, but for not i will practice self control and see where it takes me!
So far, my meals have looked like this:
Friday Breakfast: Bowl of walnuts, strawberries, cranberries and raisins.
Friday Lunch: Salmon with tomatoes and avocado
Friday Dinner: Chicken with onions, garlic, mushrooms and green beans
Saturday Breakfast: Banana (woke up a little later than usual)
Saturday Lunch: chicken with spinach, tomatoes and onions
Saturday Dinner: Tillapia with tomatoes and cucumbers
Saturday Desert: I had this Paleo Diet recipe where you just mash up bananas and put a teaspoon of vanilla extract and freeze it. sounds weird. looks really weird. But it was really good!

I've had herbal tea once and water for every other drink.
The only rule i broke was when i went out with some friends on Friday night. I had a drink that I'm pretty certain is not on my list!

I'm excited to see what I learn through this process...
